For over 20 years, the Kansas City Business Journal and Best Doctors Inc. have partnered to recognize the area’s top doctors in an effort to create a trusted resource for patients seeking medical care. Upon conclusion of this year’s selection process, we are proud to announce that our own Dr. J. David Kriet has once again been named a “Best Doctor” in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This year marks the fourth time Dr. Kriet has received this prestigious accolade for his work in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and he is honored to again be considered by his medical peers as an elite provider of facelift surgery, revision rhinoplasty, and more.
To be named a “Best Doctor,” medical professionals must first receive peer nominations from physicians currently on the Best Doctors list. Through phone interviews and other means of communication, “Best Doctors” nationwide are contacted and asked, “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?” Following peer nominations, results are run through a software system developed by Best Doctors Inc. that scores each nominee and compiles a preliminary list of physicians who meet the initial criteria for inclusion. Each doctor meeting these criteria is then further reviewed for a variety of factors including certification, licensure, clinical activity, and any disciplinary actions. After correcting for any biases, the list is then finalized and recipients are added to The Best Doctors in America database. From this database, the Kansas City Business Journal acknowledges all deserving doctors practicing in the Kansas City area in a special “Best Doctors” edition.
Only about 5% of practicing physicians nationwide are selected as a “Best Doctor,” and Dr. Kriet encourages patients in the Kansas City area to use this publication as a valuable resource when choosing a medical care provider.
Congratulations, Dr. Kriet!
